The Stellar Drape layers star motifs with pearl accents and a tassel drop — a kamarbandh (waist chain) that arrives already looking layered.

How to style it

Bikini or swimwear — on the hip, where the tassel moves as you walk.
High-slit skirt — position the tassel along the opening.
Crop top and low-waist jeans — the easiest way to wear it away from the beach.
Saree at a festive daytime event — at the natural waist, where the layers read against the pleats.

Free size, and it fits all. The chain measures at least 42 inches, which sits comfortably at the natural waist or lower on the hip. If you would like it longer, tell us before your order ships and we can extend it to about 52 inches. To choose where it sits, measure around the exact point on your body where you want it to rest.

How to put it on

Fasten it around your hip so the tassel has room to swing, then set the drop at the front or slightly to one side. Put it on last, after clothes, sunscreen and skincare.

Care

Wipe with a soft dry cloth after wear.
Keep away from perfume, lotion, sunscreen, hairspray and water.
Keep it in the box it came in, so the tassel and layers cannot tangle.
Last thing on, first thing off — after sunscreen has fully dried.

Pearls are especially sensitive to sunscreen and lotion. Plated fashion jewellery may change finish over time with wear, storage and moisture. Both are normal rather than faults.

Do I need to layer it with anything?

No — it already is layered. Stars, pearls, chains and a tassel in one piece gives you the full effect without styling three separate chains.

Are the pearls real?

They are faux pearls, chosen for their finish and their weight.

What size is it? Will it fit me?

Free size, and it fits all. The chain measures at least 42 inches, so it sits comfortably at the waist or the hip. If you would like it longer, we can extend it to about 52 inches before it ships.

Can I get it in a longer length?

Yes. Email care@reevatara.com with your order number as soon as you have placed it, and as long as it has not shipped we can extend the chain to about 52 inches.

Where should the tassel hang?

Front, or slightly to one side, whichever you prefer. Wear the chain on the hip so the tassel has room to swing.

Is it heavy?

It weighs 20 gms — light for a layered piece, and comfortable through a full day at the beach or a festival.

Can I wear it over swimwear?

Yes, and it is one of the better beach pieces we make. Take it off before going into the water — salt, chlorine and sunscreen are all hard on pearls and plating.

What is a kamarbandh?

The Indian name for a waist chain — jewellery worn around the waist or the hip. Traditionally worn over a saree, and today worn just as often over swimwear, jeans or a skirt.

Will the tassel tangle?

Keep it in the box it came in and it will not. If it does catch, hold the chain up by one end and let the tassel hang freely.

Is it suitable for sensitive skin?

It is alloy-based fashion jewellery and suits most skin types. We have not had skin-reaction complaints on this range. If you have sensitive skin, wear it for a short period first.
