Free size, and it fits all. The chain measures at least 42 inches, which sits comfortably at the natural waist or lower on the hip. If you would like it longer, tell us before your order ships and we can extend it to about 52 inches. To choose where it sits, measure around the exact point on your body where you want it to rest.

How to put it on

Fasten it around your hip, leaving the chain relaxed enough that the charms hang freely. Put it on last, after clothes, sunscreen and skincare.

Care

Wipe with a soft dry cloth after wear.
Keep away from perfume, lotion, sunscreen, hairspray and water.
Keep it in the box it came in, so the charms cannot tangle the chain.
Last thing on, first thing off — after sunscreen has fully dried.

Plated fashion jewellery may change finish over time with wear, storage, moisture and skin chemistry. This is normal rather than a fault.

Can I get it in a longer length?

Yes. Email care@reevatara.com with your order number as soon as you have placed it, and as long as it has not shipped we can extend the chain to about 52 inches.

Can I wear it in the sea or the pool?

Wear it beside the water rather than in it. Salt, chlorine and sunscreen all shorten the life of a plated finish.

Do the charms stay untangled?

Keep it in the box it came in and they will, and lay it flat when you pack. If they do catch, hold the chain up by one end and let the charms hang freely.

The Indian name for a waist chain — jewellery worn around the waist or the hip. Traditionally worn over a saree, and today worn just as often over swimwear, a maxi dress or a co-ord set.

When is it best worn?

It suits beaches, resorts and holidays particularly well — a starfish motif is at its best by the water.

It weighs 41 gms, which is what gives the charms their swing. Comfortable for a full day by the water.
