The Pearl Cascade is a fine kamarbandh (waist chain) set with pearls and a cascading drop that falls at one side. In gold-tone and white.
The Look
The cascade is what sets this one apart — rather than a chain that simply circles the waist, the pearls fall at one side and move as you walk. Against silk or a slit dress it catches light beautifully, and at 20 gms it stays comfortable through a long evening.
How to style it
- Slit dress or a gown — the cascade falls with the line of the dress.
- Saree — at the natural waist over the pleats, where pearl reads softly against silk.
- Fitted co-ord or a plain dress — something simple, so the cascade is the detail.
- Evening events and parties — pearl carries into evening light beautifully.
Product details

- Finish: gold-tone or white
- Weight: 20 gms

Sizing and fit
This piece is made to a set length and fits waist measurements up to about 34 inches. Before ordering, measure around the exact point on your body where you want it to sit rather than using your trouser size — the two rarely match — and check that measurement is under 34 inches. Unlike most of our waist chains, this design does not take an extension chain.
How to put it on
Fasten it around your natural waist, then turn it so the cascade falls where you want it. Put it on last, after clothes, perfume and skincare.
Care
- Wipe with a soft dry cloth after wear.
- Keep away from perfume, lotion, hairspray and water.
- Keep it in the box it came in, so the cascade cannot tangle.
- Last thing on, first thing off.
Pearls are especially sensitive to perfume and lotion. Plated fashion jewellery may change finish over time with wear, storage and moisture. Both are normal rather than faults.
What size is it? Will it fit me?
It fits waist measurements up to about 34 inches. Measure around the exact point where you want it to sit and check that number before ordering — it is a set length rather than a free size piece.
Can it be extended?
This design is made to a set length and does not take an extension chain. If you would like a longer piece, most of our other waist chains run at least 42 inches and can be extended to about 52.
Which side does the cascade hang on?
Wherever you position it. Set it at whichever side you want it to fall from once you are dressed.
Are the pearls real?
They are faux pearls, chosen for their finish and their weight. They need the same care as the plating — no perfume, no lotion, no water.
Where should it sit?
At the natural waist, which is where this length is designed to sit.
What is a kamarbandh?
The Indian name for a waist chain — jewellery worn around the waist or the hip. Traditionally worn over a saree, and today worn just as often over a dress, a skirt or a co-ord set.
Can I wear it with a saree?
Yes. At the natural waist over the pleats, pearl reads softly against silk without borrowing a bridal motif.
Is it heavy?
It weighs 20 gms — light for a waist chain, and comfortable through a long evening.
What is it made of?
Alloy-based fashion jewellery with a protective plating and pearl accents, in a gold-tone or white finish.
Is it suitable for sensitive skin?
It is alloy-based fashion jewellery and suits most skin types. We have not had skin-reaction complaints on this range. If you have sensitive skin, wear it for a short period first.
