The Opal Pearl Waist Chain is a fine chain with faux pearl accents and a cascading side-drop detail — a lightweight kamarbandh (waist chain) at 15 g. In gold-tone and silver-tone.

Where it sits and how to wear it

A waist chain sits either at the natural waist or lower on the hip. The side drop hangs at one point, so position it where you want the fall once you are dressed.

How to style it

Satin skirt or a slip dress — the drop falls with the line of the fabric.
Low-rise denim and a crop top — on the hip, with the drop to one side.
Swimwear — light enough for a full day at the beach.
Saree or a co-ord set — at the natural waist, where the pearls read against the drape.

This is a free size waist chain. The chain measures at least 42 inches, which sits comfortably at the natural waist or lower on the hip without adjustment. If you need it longer, tell us before your order ships and we can extend it up to about 52 inches. Measure around the exact point where you want it to rest rather than using your trouser size.

Care

Wipe with a soft dry cloth after wear.
Keep away from perfume, lotion, sunscreen, hairspray and water.
Store flat and on its own so the side drop cannot tangle.
Last thing on, first thing off — after sunscreen has fully dried.

Faux pearls are especially sensitive to sunscreen and lotion. Plated fashion jewellery changes finish over time with wear, storage, moisture and skin chemistry. Both are normal rather than faults.

Are the pearls real?

No. They are faux pearls, and we say so rather than letting the photograph imply otherwise.

Which side does the drop hang on?

Wherever you position it. The chain moves freely, so set the drop at whichever hip you want it to fall from once you are dressed.

How does it compare to your other pearl waist chains?

This is the one with movement. Pearl Gleam at 4 g and Pearl Drift at 8 g sit still; Coastal Pearl at 50 g is fuller and heavier. This sits in the middle at 15 g with a swinging side drop.

Either position works. Lower on the hip with denim; at the natural waist with a saree or a co-ord.
