The Multilayered Draped Body Chain runs in fine cascading layers from the neckline down. In gold-tone, silver-tone and steel grey — the only piece in the range with a third finish.

The Look

Several layers, and only 20 gms of them. That combination is unusual — most layered pieces feel like something; this one gives you the look without the weight, which is why it works over an embellished gown where a heavier chain would fight the beadwork. It can be turned round and worn down the back too.

Sizing and fit

This is a free size body chain suitable for all body types, with extra chain already attached.

How to put it on

Open both hooks — one on the neck chain, one on the waist chain.
Fasten the neck chain first, the same way you would a necklace.
Bring the waist chain around and fasten it behind you.
Let the layers settle on their own rather than arranging them by hand.

To wear it as a back chain, put it on the same way with the layers facing backwards. Put it on last, after clothes, perfume and skincare.

Care

Wipe with a soft dry cloth after wear.
Keep away from perfume, lotion, hairspray and water.
Store it in its own pouch so the fine layers cannot tangle with other jewellery.
Last thing on, first thing off.

Plated fashion jewellery may change finish over time with wear, storage, moisture and skin chemistry. This is normal rather than a fault.

What is the steel grey finish like?

Darker and cooler than silver-tone, closer to gunmetal. It is the only piece in our body chain range offered in a third finish, and it reads modern and contemporary rather than festive — lovely with grey, black and denim.

Which finish should I choose?

Gold-tone for warm and festive colours; silver-tone for navy, black and cool shades; steel grey for a modern or western look.

Can it be worn as a back chain?

Yes. Put it on the same way with the layers facing backwards and they cascade down your spine — two looks from one piece.

How do you put on a body chain?

Open both hooks. Fasten the neck chain first, exactly like a necklace, then bring the waist chain around and fasten it behind you.

Is the waist hook difficult to fasten on my own?

Not at all — it sits at the back like a dress fastening, and most people manage it in a few seconds once they have worn it once.

My body chain is tangled. How do I fix it?

Unhook it first — that is the step that matters most. Then hang it up by the neck chain, from a hanger or a door hook, and let it hang freely. The weight of the chain does the work and the layers separate on their own. You can also put it on and let it untangle as it settles. Never pull the strands apart.

What size is it? Will it fit me?

It is free size and fits all body types, with extra chain already attached.

Can I wear it over an embellished gown?

Yes, and it is one of the few layered pieces fine enough to do it. A heavier chain competes with beadwork; this one sits quietly on top.

Is this a good first body chain?

Yes. At 20 gms it is light for a layered piece, it fastens like a necklace, and three finishes mean there is one to match whatever you already own.
