The Midnight Drop Chain is an oxidised silver-tone chain with a minimal loop design, a cascading drop and small charm accents.
The Look
The only oxidised piece we make. The metal is deliberately darkened so it reads antique rather than bright, which puts it in a completely different register from the rest of the range — it belongs with handloom, cotton and khadi in a way a polished chain never will. One hook at the neck, and it hangs down the front or turned round to fall down your back.
How to style it
- Deep-neck blouse with a saree — oxidised metal is the natural partner to handloom and cotton.
- V-neck dress in a pale colour — the dark finish reads clearly against cream, white or dusty pastels.
- Kurta or an Indo-western outfit — oxidised jewellery belongs here more than bright plating does.
- Worn down the back with an open-back blouse — the drop runs down your spine.
- Dinner and cocktail evenings — minimal enough to wear where a statement piece would be too much.
If the rest of your jewellery is antique-finish rather than bright, this is the piece that matches it.

How to put it on
- Open the hook at the neck.
- Fasten it around your neck, like a necklace.
- Turn it so the drop falls where you want it — down the front, or down your back.
- Let it settle on its own rather than pulling it into position.
Put it on last, after clothes, perfume and skincare.
Care
- Wipe with a soft dry cloth after wear.
- Keep away from perfume, lotion, hairspray and water.
- Never polish an oxidised finish — polishing removes the darkened surface that gives it its character.
- Keep it in the box it came in. Last thing on, first thing off.
An oxidised finish is meant to look darkened, and it deepens further with wear. That is normal rather than a fault.
What does oxidised mean?
The metal has been deliberately darkened so the finish looks antique rather than bright. It is a design choice, not tarnish, and it is what gives the piece its character.
Should I polish it?
No. Polishing strips the darkened surface and leaves the piece looking patchy. Wipe it with a dry cloth only.
Can I wear it down my back?
Yes. Turn it round after fastening and the drop runs down your spine instead of the front.
What should I wear it with?
Lighter fabrics rather than black — cream, white, dusty pastels, handloom cotton or khadi. Oxidised metal reads beautifully against them.
Is one hook enough to hold it?
Yes. It fastens at the neck exactly like a necklace, and the weight of the chain keeps it hanging straight.
How do you put it on?
Open the hook at the neck, fasten it like a necklace, and turn it so the drop falls where you want it.
My chain is tangled. How do I fix it?
Unhook it first — that is the step that matters most. Then hang it up by the neck chain, from a hanger or a door hook, and let it hang freely. The weight of the chain does the work and the strands separate on their own. Never pull them apart.
What size is it? Will it fit me?
It is free size and fits all body types, with extra chain already attached.
Does it come in gold-tone?
This piece is oxidised silver-tone only, and it is the only oxidised piece in our range.
Can I wear it with a saree?
Yes, and it is one of the better ways to wear it. Oxidised jewellery has a natural place in Indian dressing, particularly with cotton, handloom and khadi.
Is it heavy?
It weighs 10 gms — among the lightest pieces we make.
Is it suitable for sensitive skin?
It is alloy-based fashion jewellery and suits most skin types. We have not had skin-reaction complaints on this range. If you have sensitive skin, wear it for a short period first.
