The Heartline is a kamarbandh (waist chain) of interlinked heart motifs, where the hearts form the chain itself rather than hanging from it. In gold-tone and white.
The Look
Because the hearts link continuously into each other, it reads as an even repeating pattern all the way round rather than a chain with charms on it. That gives it a defined line at the waist, which is why it works so well as a belt alternative over a flowy gown.
How to style it
- Flowy gown — as a belt alternative, giving a soft silhouette a defined line.
- Fitted dress — worn over, at the natural waist.
- Saree — over the pleats, where the repeating hearts catch the light.
- Date night or a beach evening — romantic without being heavy-handed.
- A simple outfit — the pattern is the detail, so let it be the one.
Product details
- Interlinked heart motifs forming a continuous chain
- Alloy-based fashion jewellery with a protective plating
- Finish: gold-tone or white
- Weight: 28 gms
- Free size, and it fits all
Sizing and fit
Free size, and it fits all. The chain measures at least 42 inches, which sits comfortably at the natural waist or lower on the hip. If you would like it longer, tell us before your order ships and we can extend it to about 52 inches. To choose where it sits, measure around the exact point on your body where you want it to rest.
How to put it on
Fasten it around your waist or hip and let the chain settle so the hearts face outward. Put it on last, after clothes, perfume and skincare.
Care
- Wipe with a soft dry cloth after wear.
- Keep away from perfume, lotion, hairspray and water.
- Keep it in the box it came in.
- Last thing on, first thing off.
Plated fashion jewellery may change finish over time with wear, storage, moisture and skin chemistry. This is normal rather than a fault.
Are the hearts charms or part of the chain?
Part of the chain. They link continuously into each other, which is what gives the piece an even repeating line all the way round.
Can I wear it instead of a belt?
Yes, and over a flowy gown it is one of the nicest ways to use it — it gives a soft silhouette a defined waist while reading as jewellery.
What size is it? Will it fit me?
Free size, and it fits all. The chain measures at least 42 inches, so it sits comfortably at the waist or the hip. If you would like it longer, we can extend it to about 52 inches before it ships.
Can I get it in a longer length?
Yes. Email care@reevatara.com with your order number as soon as you have placed it, and as long as it has not shipped we can extend the chain to about 52 inches.
Where should it sit?
Either position works, since a continuous chain holds an even line. Natural waist over a saree or gown; lower on the hip over a dress.
Can I wear it with a saree?
Yes. At the natural waist over the pleats, where the repeating hearts read as a pattern along the drape.
What is a kamarbandh?
The Indian name for a waist chain — jewellery worn around the waist or the hip. Traditionally worn over a saree, and today worn just as often over a dress, a gown or a skirt.
Is it heavy?
It weighs 28 gms — light enough for a long evening without adjusting it.
Is it a good gift?
One of the easier ones. Free size removes the fit question and a heart motif suits most tastes, which makes it lovely for an anniversary or Valentine's.
What is it made of?
Alloy-based fashion jewellery with a protective plating, in a gold-tone or white finish.
Is it suitable for sensitive skin?
It is alloy-based fashion jewellery and suits most skin types. We have not had skin-reaction complaints on this range. If you have sensitive skin, wear it for a short period first.
