On the hip. The tassels and charms hang below the chain, and placing it high and tight at the waist stops them moving, which is the point of the design.
What is a curb-link chain?
A chain of flattened interlocking links that lie flat against each other. It gives a piece more structure and presence than a fine round chain, which is what balances the softness of the tassels here.
Do the tassels tangle?
They can if the piece is stored loose. Lay it flat in its own pouch rather than dropping it into a jewellery box.
