The Dual-Tone Twist is a chain of intertwined gold-tone and silver-tone snake chains, falling in a long Y-drop. 14K gold plated over stainless steel.
The Look
Two tones twisted into one chain, which means it sits happily with whatever jewellery you already own — gold, silver or mixed. Most chains force you to pick a side; this one does not. The steel base underneath makes it more robust than a plated alloy piece, and at 12 gms it is light enough for every day. One hook at the neck, worn down the front or turned round to fall down your back.

How to put it on
- Open the hook at the neck.
- Fasten it around your neck, like a necklace.
- Turn it so the drop falls where you want it — down the front, or down your back.
- Let the chain settle rather than pulling it straight.
Put it on last, after clothes, perfume and skincare.

- Wipe with a soft dry cloth after wear.
- Keep away from perfume, lotion, hairspray and water.
- Never fold or crease a snake chain — a kink in it cannot be pressed out.
- Keep it in the box it came in, laid flat. Last thing on, first thing off.
The steel base is more durable than an alloy one, but the plating on top may still change finish over time with wear, storage, moisture and skin chemistry. That is normal rather than a fault.
What is it made of?
A stainless steel base with 14K gold plating over it, and a silver-tone chain twisted through. The steel core is what makes it more robust than a plated alloy chain — it does not rust and it holds its shape.
Can I wear it with gold and silver jewellery?
Yes, and that is the point of a dual-tone piece. It sits with either, which most chains cannot do.
Does the steel base mean it will not tarnish?
The steel core will not rust, which is a real advantage over a plated alloy. The gold plating on top may still wear over time, particularly with perfume, moisture and friction, so care for it as plated jewellery.
How should I store a snake chain?
Laid flat, never folded. Snake chain kinks permanently if it is creased or bent sharply, and a kink cannot be pressed out. Keep it in the box it came in.
Can I wear it down my back?
Yes. Turn it round after fastening and the drop runs down your spine instead of the front.
Is one hook enough to hold it?
Yes. It fastens at the neck exactly like a necklace, and the weight of the chain keeps it hanging straight.

My chain is tangled. How do I fix it?
Unhook it first, then hang it up by the neck chain from a hanger or a door hook and let it hang freely. The weight does the work. Never pull a snake chain apart or fold it to free it.

No — it is 14K gold plated over stainless steel, which is a gold layer on a steel core. It is fashion jewellery rather than fine jewellery.
Can I wear it every day?
Yes — at 12 gms with a steel base, it is one of the more hard-wearing pieces we make.
Is it suitable for sensitive skin?
It suits most skin types, and stainless steel is generally well tolerated. We have not had skin-reaction complaints on this range. If you have sensitive skin, wear it for a short period first.
