The Amour Layered is a two-piece kamarbandh (waist chain) set, carrying bead detailing, an open-heart charm, crystal accents and coin charms across its layers. In gold-tone and silver-tone.

This is the most decorated waist chain we make — beads, a heart, crystal and coins all in one set. Worn together the layers spread across the hip and give a plain outfit somewhere to look. Worn one at a time, you get a quieter chain that still carries real detail. Two chains, and genuinely two moods.

Free size, and it fits all. Each chain measures at least 42 inches, which sits comfortably at the natural waist or lower on the hip. If you would like it longer, tell us before your order ships and we can extend it to about 52 inches. To choose where it sits, measure around the exact point on your body where you want it to rest.

How to put it on

Fasten each chain around your waist or hip and let the layers settle apart on their own rather than arranging them by hand. Put it on last, after clothes, perfume and skincare.

Care

Wipe with a soft dry cloth after wear.
Keep away from perfume, lotion, sunscreen, hairspray and water.
Keep both chains in the box they came in, so they stay separate.
Last thing on, first thing off.

Plated fashion jewellery may change finish over time with wear, storage, moisture and skin chemistry. This is normal rather than a fault.

Free size, and it fits all. Each chain measures at least 42 inches, so it sits comfortably at the waist or the hip. If you would like it longer, we can extend it to about 52 inches before it ships.

Can I get it in a longer length?

Yes. Email care@reevatara.com with your order number as soon as you have placed it, and as long as it has not shipped we can extend the chain to about 52 inches.

What detailing does it have?

Beads, an open-heart charm, crystal accents and coin charms — four different kinds of detail across the two chains, which is what makes it read as a full stack rather than a single piece.

Where should it sit?

On the hip when you wear both, so the layers have room to spread. Over a saree, the natural waist works beautifully.

Do the chains stay separate?

Keep them in the box they came in and they will. If they do get tangled, hold them up by one end and let them hang freely — the weight does the work and they separate on their own.

What is a kamarbandh?

The Indian name for a waist chain — jewellery worn around the waist or the hip. Traditionally worn over a saree, and today worn just as often over denim, a skirt or swimwear.

Is it heavy?

The set weighs 30 gms, so each chain on its own is lighter. Substantial enough to hang properly, and comfortable through a full day at a festival or on holiday.

Is it a good gift?

Yes. Free size means nothing to measure beforehand, and two chains give the recipient a choice of looks.

Can I wear it over swimwear?

Yes, and it is one of the best resort pieces we make. Take it off before going into the water — chlorine, salt and sunscreen all shorten the life of a plated finish.

Is it suitable for sensitive skin?

It is alloy-based fashion jewellery and suits most skin types. We have not had skin-reaction complaints on this range. If you have sensitive skin, wear it for a short period first.
